Transverse Profile, Geometry & Texture
Overview
SSI offers full transverse profiles along with road geometry and texture reports
Full Lane Transverse Profiling
Full lane width transverse profile measurement is available from SSI at fixed sampling intervals set by the operator. Detailed transverse profile measurements support accurate rut depth measurements, lane-edge drop-off, and cross-slope characterization.
Recommended: Mobile Surveying
Road Geometry
SSI’s optional IMU sensor pairs with inertial profiler or the CS9500 Full Lane Profiler sensors to measure running grade and cross-slope. The improved GPS paired with the IMU allows for curve radius reporting.
Recommended: Inertial Profilers
Texture Measurement
Any SSI system that uses a line laser can be outfitted to report texture (MPD, ETD, RMS) at operator specified intervals. The high speed texture option is common on the inertial profilers and CS9500 Full Lane Profiler or CS8800 Walking Profiler.
