For off road scanning nothing is more powerful and versatile than the CS8770. Build on a frame that can traverse rough terrain, the CS8770 scans the ground surface with sampling intervals down to 5mm x 5mm (typically 2″x0.5″).
Once the data is scanned the output is an LAS point cloud file or extracted path lines. Pairing the data with SSI SurveyCorrection software, the point cloud can be aligned with surveyed points correcting the surface to be within millimeters of the reference points.
